Beginners snorkelling is great. The water is chest high (or less). A bunch of man made rock areas really do play home to a great assortment of fish. My 8 year old was transfixed and didn't want to get out of the water. I was surprised to see a couple of 2 foot shnooks, a baby barracuda, schools of sergeant majors, scores of grunts and other fish, and the odd crab. And all of this is walking distance from the beach (30 feet or less!). Visibility can be so-so but overall this is a great place. Its also a lovely place to go with the family. Very clean, very well maintained. There is a entry fee but it is well worth it. They also have an environmental centre called Gumbo Limbo nearby.
